70's in the Studio Inspo

70's in the Studio Inspo

It's time to bust out your bell bottoms! AZPM is bringing the 70's to the studio! Am I the only one who still thinks that 1970 was like 30 years ago? Well, even if its been *way* longer than that, we are ready for a retro revival! Take a journey back in time with me as we look at some of the iconic fashion of the 70's and get inspired for AZPM's 70's in the Studio event!

Instead of putting together outfits for this inspo, we are going to focus on different pieces that can be mixed and matched to fit your *vibe*! Let's take a trip back in time and get inspired!

Halter tops, peasant tops, and band tees were some of the standouts in the 70's! These pieces were easily layered under coats and vests or worn alone. In need of some old band tees? Check out the thrift store!

As I mentioned earlier, bell bottoms are a must when we talk about 70's fashion trends. But, wide leg palazzo pants were also in high-demand at the time! You can keep it simple with denim or solid colors or spice it up with a printed or patterned pant!

Jumpsuits were an absolute staple of the 70's. They could be worn casually to run errands in, or dressed up to disco the night away! You can go with a classic denim jumpsuit or really make heads turn in a full sequin look!

The 70's took inspiration from the 60's with its love of shift dresses, but dress trends varied drastically throughout the decade. Long, boho dresses were popular within the hippie community; while sequin wrap dresses were spotted all over the dance floor! Corduroy jumper dresses layered over tees or turtlenecks were also a staple for many. These are just a few of the many popular styles of the time period! There was definitely a vibe for everyone.

Okay, last but definitely not least... We have to talk about SHOES! Platforms, earthy sandals, and ROLLER SKATES were a few favorites! BTW This is not me asking anyone to bring skates... but I won't be mad if you bring skates. The world was also blessed with Vans sneakers in 1966, so they are perfectly appropriate footwear for this decade!

Let's face it, the psychedelic 70's had some killer fashion! I hope you found the burst of inspiration you needed to get set for 70's in the studio! And if you didn't, I put together a little time capsule of photos from the 70's to really put the cherry on top! So enjoy! And we can't wait to see you at 70's in the studio!
