Banana and Cake is a cosplay duo who have been attending our events since the Summer of 2022, but have been cosplaying together for the last 3 years! This dynamic duo always brings the creative edge to shoots, and make such wonderful and unique content! These cosplayers draw inspiration for their upcoming shoots from social media platforms - then use that inspiration to create stunning content! These two work together so wonderfully, and are always smiles and laughs when they attend our events.
In this past year we have had the absolute pleasure of hosting a panel with them at UwU con - A Cosplayers Guide to Content Creation- where we discussed the Do's and Don't in modeling cosplay, creating reels/tiktoks, and taking content created and implementing it most effectively into social media platforms. Having an insiders look into the world of content creation as a cosplayer gave our panel the edge, and allowed for us to share wonderful insight with our attendees about not only the world of content creation - but the world of content creation as a cosplayer.
We asked Banana and Cake a few questions about their modeling and cosplay journey and here is what they had to say from our Q&A session:
Q: What are your favorite things to model? (Certain photography styles, props, type of clothing, etc.)
A: Cosplay!
Q: Do you have a favorite photoshoot you've done? If so, tell us about it!
A: Both photo events at Dream Factory Studios and one photo shoot at a museum in Tempe
Q: What types of challenges have you had to overcome in your time as a model, and how did you overcome that situation? (loss of inspiration, learning new skills, working with others, etc.)
A: Learning Body positivity! Constant self affirmation and finding poses that best fit our body types
