In celebration of Earth Month, AZPM was inspired by everyday, recyclable materials when planning for this event. And it was perfect timing too! I had just moved into my new home and my garage was filled to the brim with packing materials. We used everything we could think of to fill Dream Factory Studio with colorful, creative, and eco-friendly set designs.
First stop on our eco-friendly set journey is our scrap fabric wall! Did you know that over 34 billion pounds of textiles are thrown away every year in the United States alone? Well, instead of tossing all those old sewing scraps in the trash, we turned them into an elaborate, multicolored backdrop. This set was a huge success if you ask us! And no fabric was harmed in the making of this set. All materials are ready to be repurposed into whatever your imagination can muster!

Next stop, BOXES! Lex and I had a blast painting and arranging this set! The box set was simple in design but paid off in a huge way! The best part? It all ended up being recycled!
Did you know that around 80% of all purchased items are packaged in cardboard in the United States? That equates to every household in the U.S. throwing out about 9000 pieces of cardboard a year! Eco Bins are a great way to recycle large amounts of cardboard or can be used as a resource for people without access to a recycling can where they live.

Our last two sets utilized 2 very common packing materials: newspaper and bubble wrap!
We added a splash of color to our bubble wrap wall and layered it over a black cycle wall to create an interesting *pop* art background.

The newspaper wall was a fan favorite! The full floor to ceiling design helped create some of the most dynamic shots of the day.
